If you're organising an away day, conference or company event, you've probably got a list of practical questions before you book anything. This guide answers them: where drumming fits in your agenda, how long it takes, the space you need and what your people need to bring (nothing).

Where drumming fits in your day
Conference opener: wakes the room up and gets people talking before the first speaker.
After lunch: beats the afternoon slump better than another coffee.
Away day centrepiece: a full team building session that ends in your own finale performance.
Closing finale: end the event on a high, with your team performing for the rest of the company.
How long it takes
Most sessions run for around 1 to 1.5 hours. We also offer short ice-breakers, plus half and full day experiences for retreats and multi-day conferences.
Group size
Anything from 5 or 6 people (senior leadership and small teams) to 500+. The format changes with the numbers; the result doesn't.
The space you need
For up to around 50 people, a room big enough for a circle or horseshoe of chairs is ideal. For 50 to 200+, an open space works best, though we regularly work with theatre or cabaret seating too. We've drummed in offices, event spaces, churches, community centres and even a five-star sushi restaurant. You name it, we can drum there.
We arrive in good time to load in and set up, so the room looks inspiring when your group walks in.
What your team needs
Nothing. No musical experience and no special clothing. Everyone plays with sticks on a mix of big drums, smaller drums and hand-held percussion, so it's completely accessible and total beginners join in from the first minute.
